Busy Bees

November 2021

Posted by on

Happy Thanksgiving!!! November got off to a great start learning all about the Farm. The children found out each animal’s job on the farm. The sheep give us their wool, the chickens give us eggs, the cow gives us milk and even the dog helps round up the sheep and cows to come home at night.

Our color this month is brown and the shape is rectangle. Our letters are E, F and G. Our virtue is Thankful, just in time for Thanksgiving!

To help the Busy Bees prepare for Thanksgiving, we have been talking about what and who we are thankful for. We have also been busy making their handprints into turkeys, cornucopia’s, placemats and Indian corn, to decorate your Thanksgiving table.

Our November song is:

The Turkey is a Silly Bird
(The tune is Yankee Doodle)

The Turkey is a silly bird.
His head goes wobble, wobble!
All he says is just one word.
And that is gobble, gobble!

Some of our favorite stories have been Farm Flu, Old McDonald Had a Farm, Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks, 10 Fat Turkeys and Turkey Trouble

Teacher Yash, Teacher Lisa and I want to wish you all a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!
