Busy Bees

November 2022

Posted by on

Happy Thanksgiving!!! November got off to a great start learning all about the Farm. The children found out each animals’ job is on the farm. The sheep give us their wool, the chickens give us eggs, the cows give us milk and even the dog helps round up the sheep and cows to come home at night.

Our color this month is brown and the shape is rectangle. Our virtue is Thankful, just in time for Thanksgiving!

To help the Busy Bees prepare for Thanksgiving, we have been talking about what and who we are thankful for. We have also been busy making their handprints into turkeys, cornucopia’s, placemats and Flint corn, to decorate your Thanksgiving table.

Our November song is:

The Turkey is a Silly Bird
(The tune is Yankee Doodle)

The Turkey is a silly bird.
His head goes wobble, wobble!
All he says is just one word.
And that is gobble, gobble!

Some of our favorite stories have been Farm Flu, Old McDonald Had a Farm, Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks, 10 Fat Turkeys and Biscuit is Thankful.

As we get close to Thanksgiving Teacher Ruth and I are thankful to have a new teacher’s aide joining our class, Teacher Mina! Teacher Mina has a passion and love for early childhood education and has taken several early child development courses. We are excited to have her join us and know she will be a wonderful addition to the Busy Bees’ class!

We wish you all a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!
Teacher Lori, Teacher Ruth and Teacher Mina
