Busy Bees

September - October 2021

The Busy Bees are off to a great start! We are all settling in and making new friends. The zoo has been a fun theme to start off our school year. The children are having fun creating their own menagerie of animals. The last week of September we will be apple picking in our own apple orchard. Tasting different apples and learning about Johnny Apple Seed.

Our color this month is red and the shape is a circle. Our virtue is Helpful. Next month we will start working on the letter of the week.

Our favorite song this month is “I’m Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee”.

I’m bringing home a baby bumble bee, won’t my mommy be so proud of me.
I’m bringing home a baby bumble bee, ouch it stung me.
I’m squishing up my baby bumble bee, won’t my mommy be so proud of me.
I’m squishing up my baby bumble bee, oh what a mess!
I’m wiping off my baby bumble bee, won’t my mommy be so proud of me.
I’m wiping off my baby bumble bee. There, all clean!

Some books we have enjoyed are:

Pete the Kitty’s First Day of Preschool
Sam Who Never Forgets
Fiona Flamingo
Curious George Goes to the Zoo

A few reminders: Please make sure to put your child’s name on masks, jackets, sweatshirts and extra clothes. Also, please cut fruit in smaller pieces. For example: Grapes can be a choking hazard. Please cut them long ways.

Be sure to sign your child in and out each day! This is an official document required by state Licensing.

Wishing you all a blessed Fall!
Teacher Lori, Teacher Yash and Teacher Katie O.
