Five Little Pumpkins

Five Little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, “Oh my, it’s getting late.”
The second one said, “There are witches in the air.”
The third one said, “But I don’t care.”
The fourth said, “Let’s run and run and run.”
The fifth one said, “I’m ready for some fun.”
Ooooo! Went the wind, and out went the light.
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

Happy fall to everyone! The Little Bears really enjoyed learning about nocturnal animals and made some fun Halloween decorations.

Some fun fact about nocturnal animals:
They are awake and active at night then sleep during the day. Bats are the only flying mammals in the world. Owls can’t move their eyes. They must turn their heads to see.  Raccoons are about the size of a medium dog.

Some of the books we read are- “Little Owl’s Night”,  “Owl Babies”,  “The Busy Tree”,  “Bats Around the Clock”, “Baby Bat’s Lullaby”, “The Spooky Wheels on the Bus”, “Pete the Cat”, “The Five Little Pumpkins”, “Pumpkin Trouble” and “Plumply, Dumply Pumpkin.”

In the month of October we worked on:
Letters:  D, E, F, and G
Color:  orange
Shape:  circle
Virtue:  listen

In November our theme is Ocean Life and we will be celebrating Thanksgiving!

Fall Blessing!
