Growing Tigers

November 2022

Posted on

Dear Tiger Families,

We have completed all of the capital letters with straight perpendicular lines and are starting the letters with curves.  We decided to continue the letter T for an extra week since T is for turkey and Thanksgiving which is one of our themes for November.

During “I” week we read “The Invisible String,” by Patrice Karst. Our virtue this month is Thankful. We read “Thanks for Thanksgiving,” and talked about what we are thankful for.

Our classroom turned into a turkey factory and we made many turkeys.  We’ve talked about how turkeys have warblers and have been practicing saying the word, “cornucopia” and thinking of things we would like to put inside of a cornucopia.

We will be talking about the letter C for two weeks as well because the week of Thanksgiving is very short and there are lots of fun things that start with C.

Our shape of the month is an oval.  Our color of the month is brown and our number is 3.  We are counting the days of school all the way up to 100!

Our poem for the month is:

ABCDEFG
Thank you God for all I see
HIJKLMNOP
Thank you God for my family
QRS and TUV
Thank you God for loving me
WX and Y and Z
On Thanksgiving I thank Thee

With Gratitude,
Tigers’ Teachers
