Little Bunnies

Hi Bunnies Families!

It has been an exciting time in the Bunnies class. It has been amazing seeing all of their personalities come out now that they are feeling more comfortable. They have all been working on using our words with their friends and teachers, whether it’s asking for a turn, letting someone know they are using something, or asking for help.

In December we had great fun with our Christmas theme. We have been practicing our songs for our Christmas show and learning about how special it is that Jesus was born. Our virtue was Giving, we learned about different things we can give ways we give like: gifts, hugs, and even a helping hand. We also had fun learning about the number four, stars and the color red.

Our nursery rhyme for the month is:

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Twinkle, Twinkle, little star
How I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high
Like a diamond in the sky
Twinkle, Twinkle, little star
How I wonder what you are

 This month we read many books including Jingle Bells by Iza Trapani and learned about the different ways Christmas is celebrated around the world. Fun fact: we learned that in some places they use shoes instead of stockings, to fill with gifts.  We also read Santa’s Noisy Night by Julie Sykes, a story about Santa having a hard time staying quiet to not wake the children as he delivers gifts.
