There’s a promise at the beginning of today’s text that puts it all into perspective: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.” In the face of all that confronts us in life, sometimes we take ourselves far too seriously and are dangerously self-righteous. But God’s words from Lamentations provide the help we need to face life with greater faith and courage.
