Happy New Year!

Our color this month is white, our shape is the triangle and our virtue is respectful. We are working on the letters A, B and C this month. You can help your children by pointing out things that start with these letters. For example: A for apple, B for balloon and C for car.

The first two weeks of January our theme was Winter. We talked about how we dress for the snow, what fun games and activities we can do in the snow and what animals live in the snow.

Some of our favorite winter stories were:

Flip and Flop By: Dawn Apperley
Where Snowflakes Fall By: Claire Freedman
Snowmen At Night By: Caralyn Buehner
Sadie and the Snowman By: Allen Morgan
Swim Polar Bear, Swim! By: Joan Stimson
Snip, Snip, Snow! By: Nancy Poydar

The last 2 weeks we learned about the Ocean. Who is the biggest animal in the ocean? The Blue Whale! Who is the smallest animal in the ocean? The Pygmy seahorse. And so much more.

A fun fish song we are learning is:

1,2,3,4,5 I caught a fish alive.
6,7,8,9,10 I let him go again.
Why did you let him go? Because he bit my finger so.
Which finger did he bite? The little one on the right.

Warmest wishes for a happy 2022!
