Growing Tigers

We’re off to a grrreat start! Thank you parents for your quick drop-offs/pick-ups. If you haven’t sent in your emergency Ziploc bag and/or your quilt piece, please do so as soon as possible. We can once again have little backpacks to carry all your child’s things/projects/notices in. This makes our end of the day smoother for packing up.

Our theme this month has been All About Me. We’ve talked about all of our similarities and all of our differences. We’re all friends and a part of God’s family.

We read a lot of books on being inclusive and diversity. Two of our favorites were “The Family Book” by Todd Parr and “I Just Like You” by Suzanne Brown.

We graphed our hair colors and our eye colors. A few of us said we had black eyes. We learned that no one has black eyes! They’re actually the darkest shade of brown! Who knew?!!

Our virtue this month is Helpful. Our color is orange. Our shape is a circle. Our letters are L and F. Our number is 1.

Our poem this month is –

Friends at School

Friends at school can play and share.

Friends at school are kind and fair.

Friends at school will talk to you,

When you’re feeling sad or blue.

Friends at school are big and small.

Friends at school are best of all.

Blessings,
Teacher Robin and Teacher Katie C.
